FOSTERING FAITH

Christ-centered healing, grounded in compassion, and client-led

Our faith stories often shape how we understand safety, worth, love, boundaries, and identity.

For some, faith has been a source of strength and hope. For others, it has been complicated or even painful.

Wherever you are in your relationship with faith, you are welcome here.

Healing isn’t just emotional or psychological …it can be deeply spiritual as well.

An invitation, not an expectation…

While my own Christian faith shapes the compassion and integrity I bring to this work, I serve clients of all beliefs and backgrounds, and with mutual respect and trust, we achieve great things.

Faith is always an invitation, not a requirement.

A Trauma-Informed, Christ-Centered Approach

For clients who desire it, therapy can gently integrate their Christian faith in a way that honors both emotional safety and spiritual dignity. Faith is never imposed, rushed, or used to minimize pain. Instead, it is approached with care, consent, and respect for your lived experience.

Jesus consistently drew near to the wounded, the silenced, and the burdened…not with pressure or shame, but with compassion, truth, and restoration. That same posture guides the way faith is held in this space.

How Faith Can Support Healing

When explored safely, faith can become a source of grounding and renewal. It can help anchor you in hope, remind you of your God-given worth, and offer comfort during seasons of uncertainty.

Faith may also support healing with forgiveness, self-compassion, boundaries, and reclaiming your voice.

Honoring Spiritual Wounds

For those who have experienced spiritual abuse from an individual or institution, your pain is valid and significant. If faith has been used to control, shame, silence, or invalidate you, your pain is real, and it matters.

This practice offers a respectful space to process spiritual wounds, confusion, doubt, or grief without judgment. Healing does not require bypassing pain or forcing belief. Christ’s love is not found in abuse, fear, or coercion, and therapy here is rooted in safety, truth, and restoration.

What Faith-Sensitive Therapy Looks Like:

  • Client-directed — You decide if and how faith is included

  • Grounded in Christian faith, and offered with humility, grace, and respect

  • Trauma-informed and evidence-based trauma therapy, integrating your faith as a support in your healing process

  • Grace-centered, emphasizing dignity, freedom, and the belief that you were created for wholeness

Together, we can explore the role your beliefs play in your healing journey.

Whether it be prayer, scripture, or spiritual conversation, care will always be tailored to align with your personal values, established boundaries, and comfort level.
